In this episode Boomer came back and talked to Marty D and I about EMS education. We discussed degree programs and what they could mean for the future of EMS. We asked the question, "what is the first step in taking us, as a peer group, into the future?" Watch this week's episode and let us know what you think is the next step. Let us know what you think about the role of education in EMS and why/why not having a degree program is important.
I pose this question as a topic for debate:
Should our first step in progressing toward a "professional" EMS involve eliminating the certificate programs and requiring ALL Paramedic providers to have, at minimum, an Associates of Applied Science Health Science--EMS/Paramedicine?
